WRITE - UP ( OUTPUT)

Part 1.
As a student pursuing a degree in management accounting, I am excited to start my practicum
program to gain hands-on experience and apply the theoretical knowledge I have acquired in
the classroom. I am looking forward to working with professionals in the field and learning from
their expertise, as well as contributing to their work and adding value to the organization.

In terms of my expectations for the program, I hope to:

Gain a comprehensive understanding of management accounting concepts and practices: I


expect to learn about various management accounting techniques, including cost accounting,
budgeting, and performance measurement. I want to apply these concepts in real-world
scenarios and understand how they impact decision-making in organizations.
Develop my analytical and problem-solving skills: I expect to be challenged with real-world
problems and tasked with finding effective solutions. I want to be able to analyze financial data
and use it to make informed decisions that will benefit the organization.
Enhance my communication and teamwork skills: I expect to work collaboratively with my peers
and supervisors in the program. I want to learn how to effectively communicate my ideas and
opinions, as well as how to work well in a team to achieve common goals. I believe this will
broaden my perspective and give me a better understanding of the role of management
accounting in different contexts.
Build my professional network: Finally, I hope to build connections with professionals in the field
and establish relationships that will help me as I progress in my career. I want to learn from their
experiences and seek their advice on how to succeed as a management accountant.
Overall, I am excited about the opportunities that the practicum program in management
accounting will offer me. I am eager to learn and grow as a professional, and I am confident that
this program will help me achieve my goals.

Part 2.

Local Government Unit Municipality of Samboan. The Municipal Accounting Office warrants the
proper accounting of all financial transactions of the Local Government Unit (Municipal and 15
Barangay) and guarantees the observance of generally accepted accounting principles and
practices, as well as sound financial management and fiscal administration. All laws and
regulations applicable to financial transactions shall be faithfully adhered to and government
officials participating in the transactions and operations of their office are duty bound to see that
applicable laws and regulations are complied with.

Part 3.

During my internship at the accounting office, I had the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks
that gave me a comprehensive understanding of the industry. My main duties included
preparing financial statements, Journalizing transactions from different barangays, Working on
their Collections and Deposit, Check Disbursement, Cash Disbursement and General Ledger
and Reconciling bank statements. Additionally, I was responsible for maintaining accurate and
up-to-date records of all financial transactions and assisting with the month-end close process.
Overall, my experience in the accounting office provided me with valuable insights into the
workings of the industry and solidified my interest in pursuing a career in accounting.

Part 4.

During my internship at the accounting office, I would say that it was a smooth sailing
experience because I was able to perform well with my duties. I always ask for clarifications
everytime I feel like I have no idea. If there is one maybe the distance between the office and
the school as I have a hard time attending school events.

Part 5.

Technical accounting skills: It providd me with the opportunity to learn and apply technical
accounting skills such as bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and auditing.I learned
how to use accounting software and gain practical experience working with financial data.

Communication skills: During my internship, I improved my communication skills by interacting


with colleagues,and clients. I learned how draft memos, and present financial data in a clear
and concise manner.

Analytical skills: During my internship, I developed analytical skills by reviewing financial


statements, identifying trends, and making recommendations based on the findings. I learned
how to use data to solve problems and make informed decisions.

Time management skills: Working in an accounting office can be demanding, especially during
busy periods such as tax season. I developed time management skills by prioritizing tasks,
meeting deadlines, and balancing competing demands on my time. I was able to learn how to
work efficiently and effectively under pressure.

Teamwork skills: My internship in an accounting office provided me with the opportunity to work
collaboratively with others. I learned how to work effectively in a team by contributing my skills
and expertise, communicating with team members, and resolving conflicts in a constructive
manner.

Professionalism: My internship in an accounting office helped me develop a professional


demeanor and work ethic. I was able to learn how to dress appropriately, behave in a
professional manner, and maintain a positive attitude even during challenging situations.
Overall, my internship in an accounting office provided me with valuable opportunities to
develop my skills and gain practical experience in a professional setting.

Part 6
In order for them to improve their performance and efficiency it is important to stay organized by
keeping accounting records and documents organized and up-to-date is critical for accuracy
and efficiency. It helps prevent errors and makes it easier to locate important information when
needed. And most importantly to continuously improve processes by regularly review
accounting processes and identify areas for improvement. Implement changes and
improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Invest in employee training and development by providing ongoing training and development for
employees can help improve their skills and knowledge. This can lead to increased productivity
and efficiency in the accounting office.
