Venue Asuncion Integrated School Gym Participants’ Elementary and Junior High School Teachers of Asuncion Integrated Description School ACTIVITY Asuncion Integrated School used this School Learning Action Cell to strengthen teachers on the proper orientation on food safety that Description helps from them from risk of health related conditions such as allergy and even death. This school-based LAC on Orientation on Food Safety aims the following: Program Objectives a. awareness on the possible effects of Food-borne illnesses b. importance in preparing food to avoid cross contamination Prior to the activity proper the following were prepared:
- Crafting of school learning action cell activity proposal
Preliminaries - Program/Activity Matrix - Assigned personnel, TWG and committees - Prepare the venues and materials to be utilized
The whole SLAC was conducted in face-to-face modality.
The activity strictly follows the designed matrix with specified time and outputs. Design of the Event Power Point Presentation of important points on arts of questioning was presented by the resource speaker. There was also presentation of outputs by team. Presentation of insights was delivered by each team giving emphasis on food safety. Methodology Feedback - giving after the presentation was also delivered by the resource speaker (school nurse). The activity generally managed by the school head who is the Management of the resource speaker and the assigned team who were in-charge of the Activity activity. Resource Persons Sibyl Rea S. Paler – School Nurse Logistical The nature of activity is lecture discussion using power point Arrangements presentation and followed by sharing of insights and realizations. RESULTS Participant’s -The activity enabled the participants to be careful in preparing the Feedback food and serving them to their intended consumers. - It helped the teachers to gain knowledge on food safety preparation -Technical support enhanced their skills in sharing through reflective insights.
