Author’s Note

The Bible is the religious book for Christians. But it is not a mere religious
literature of which an adherent is obliged to read for the sake of fulfilling religious
righteousness. It is a powerful compendium which is rich in revelational depth than
any book in the world. Unlike other books, the Bible is a book that nobody can
claim to have the totality of its information at his/her finger tip. The information of
the Bible cannot be exhausted no matter how many times you read it. We keep
encountering new light and revelation each time we interact with the Bible.

But, many times people read the Bible without taking note of the salient facts that
are contained in it. And such attitude deprives one of the opportunity of
appreciating the rich historical, spiritual and contextual depth of the Bible.
However, my aim with this work is to draw your attention to some of those
unnoticed or ignored facts in the Bible.

More so, given the negative distraction from information and communication
technology which steals reading time from most people (especially the youths), it
is high time we revived the ancient practice of searching out the Scriptures
ourselves to get the answers we require for living godly lives. The Bible should not
just be read hastily. Time is needed for one to sit down to explore the rich array of
scriptural information for better comprehension.

This book can be used as a devotional guide, for Bible study, for sermon
preparation and in preparing for Bible Quiz competitions. It is a must read for
every Christian.
