Personal Notes: The interpretation that Grievous wounds can be healed outside of an “encounter” (Page 14) is the source of
this contention. The word “encounter” lacks relatable context. Some say it means Combat, others Expedition. After looking
through all the Resources/Rewards we can receive that deals with Grievous Wounds, I stand by the answer given above.
Do I keep all unused Inspiration Points when I return to Precipice after an Expedition?
No.
Can my explorer carry more than 10 cards (discovery cards, resources, stronghold artefacts…etc.)
during an expedition?
Yes. The 10-card limit only applies when you place your explorer in the stasis chamber (Page 7,
Precipice Book)
The tables for reinforcements in page 13 is different from page 16. Which is the correct one?
Page 13.
Personal Notes: The correct version is inferred from the rules from the Dreaded Ambull expansion, where it said on its
hostile reference card, “Tenacious: You can return the Ambull to the board on a reinforcement roll of 1, 2 or 3 instead of just
1.” From this you can tell that Huge hostiles only return on a 1, and the table on page 13 reflects that.
Blackstone Fortress – Precipice
Can I trade on my explorer’s spacecraft even if my explorer has no Archeotech?
No. In order to begin trading, you must be able to exchange at least one Archeotech card for
trading points.
What counts towards the 10-card limit when I put my explorer into a stasis chamber?
The following cards count towards the total:
Resource Cards
Discovery Cards
Reward Cards (Hidden Vault, other Quest Rewards)
Stronghold Artefact Cards
Soul Price Cards (Traitor Command Expansion)
Affliction Cards (No Respite Expansion)
Desperation Cards (Ascension Expansion)
When I use this on a weapon action that has varying attack rolls, which “variant” of the weapon action
should I use when making the second weapon action using this Resource?
Repeat the previous weapon action you took, using the previous cost. For example, if UR-025
took an Assault Cannon (4+) weapon action, which allowed him to make 2 attack rolls, using
Full Auto Setting will allow him to make an Assault Cannon (4+) weapon action again.
During my weapon action, I used various resources to affect my attack rolls. When I use Full Auto
Setting, do I get to affect the attack rolls of my second weapon action the same way?
No. The only thing Full Auto Setting allows your explorer to have is the same weapon action
without using activation dice.
Can I use Full Auto Setting on weapon actions that exhaust like the Thunder Hammer?
No. Resources that exhaust cannot be used again in the same turn of combat. (Precipice page 6)
EXPLOSIVE ROUND/AMMUNITION
Do hostiles get the benefit of cover when they targeted by attack rolls generated by Explosive
Round/Ammunition?
Yes.
Can Explosive Round/Ammunition affect hostiles adjacent to the target with a wall (purple) hexside
between them?
Yes.
Personal Notes: It is weird, but those are rules as written. You can house rule this if you want.
Sidequests
The rules state that “During this expedition discovery cards cannot be drawn for any reason.” Yet on
some of the sidequest event tables, the result of 20 allows the Leader to pick an explorer to draw a
discovery card. Which is correct?
The Lucky Find event result has no effect during a sidequest.
In the sidequest Alien Intelligence (White Dwarf 452), how does the event “Not Dead Yet” work when
the “No End to Their Numbers” special rule means no hostile truly remains slain during the quest?
The Not Dead Yet event result has no effect in Alien Intelligence. It is impossible to prevent a
hostile from returning back in this scenario.
