Nothing, something → it
Someone/somebody, no one, nobody → they
(Aux)
+ to be → to be (ngược thể - khẳng định hoặc phủ định)
+ V thường → mượn trợ động từ (ngược thể - khẳng định hoặc phủ định)
Các từ phủ định: not/never/seldom/ hardly/scarcely/rarely/barely → Dùng câu hỏi đuôi ở thể khẳng
định.

VÍ DỤ
1. You weren’t at home last night, were you?
2. He stays up late, doesn’t he?
3. They seldom buy candies, does they?
4. We are late, aren’t we?
5. Ms. Phuong is never late for work, is she?
6. Nothing affected his study, did it?
7. Jane has never been to Vietnam before, has she?
8. He had finished everything by last Friday, hadn’t he?
9. We won’t go to work this weekend, will we?
10. He is studying English, isn’t he?
11. I am on the list, aren’t I?

Ngoại lệ
1. I am → aren’t I
2. Let’s ……. → shall we (Let’s go to the party, shall we?)
3. Câu mệnh lệnh, will you (Open the door, will you?/ Don’t rush, will you?)
4. I think/suppose/ believe + S + V, lấy mệnh đề sau làm câu hỏi đuôi.
I believe he left Hanoi, didn’t he?
I don’t believe he left Hanoi, did he?
