I. RATIONALE:
Reading is a crucial skill that all children need to master in order to succeed in school and
life. Unfortunately, not all learners are able to develop their reading skills at the same pace or
level. In addition, reading is a fundamental skill that is essential for academic success. Learners
who struggle with reading in Grade III-Durian are at risk of falling behind and facing academic
challenges in the future. Project SPARK - Supporting Prime Achievement in Reading for
Kids is a reading intervention project designed to help Grade III-Durian learners improve their
reading skills through a comprehensive and individualized approach.
To address this issue, the proponent proposes a project called SPARK - Supporting Prime
Achievement in Reading for Kids. It is designed to help Grade III learners who are struggling with
reading to develop the skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.
