LESSON PLAN FOR

READING REMEDIATION
I. Objectives: At the end of the
remediation session, the pupils
involved are
expected to:
A. identify the basic sounds of
the letters in the alphabet;
II. Subject Matter:
A. Topic: Letter sounds
B. Materials: television, laptop,
flash cards
III. Procedure:
A. teaching/Modelling:
The teacher will introduce a
song “tunog ng bawat letra”
using the television.
After playing the song, the
teacher will introduce the
sounds of the letters in
the alphabet.
B. Guided Practice:
Using the flash cards, the
teacher will first make the
sound of the letter then
followed by the pupils.
Afterwards, ask pupils to give a
word starting the
given letter presented.
C. Independent Practice:
The teacher will use an audio
recording using the television
containing the
sound of the letters they
must provide the write
answer by answering in
chorus.
IV. Evaluation:
The teacher will make the
sound of the letters then pupils
must write their
answers in a sheet of paper

LESSON PLAN FOR READING REMEDIATION

I. Objectives: At the end of the remediation session, the pupils involved are

A. identify the number of syllables in a word;

B. read two or more syllables; and

C. answer the questions depicting at least 75% accuracy.

II. Subject Matter:


A. Topic: reading syllables

B. Materials: television, laptop, flash cards, strips

III. Procedure:

A. teaching/Modelling:

The teacher will introduce a song about reading syllables and from the song the teacher
will identify words with two or more syllables and paste in on the board using strips.

B. Guided Practice:

Using the flash cards, the teacher will first read each syllables in the word given then
pupils will follow. Next, the teacher will flash syllables in the television using slide
decks and listen as the teacher reads the syllables individually.

C. Independent Practice:

The teacher will use the television and flash words with two or more syllables and pupils
must read the words by syllables.

IV. Evaluation:

The teacher will call each of the students to read the different words

containing two or more syllables with different set of words for each of the

pupils.
