3. Title of the project: Study of Grid Tied Solar PV Plant at
VNR VJIET

4. Introduction:

The study of a grid-tied solar PV (Photovoltaic) plant at VNR

Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology (VNR
VJIET) is a comprehensive exploration of sustainable energy
generation and its integration into our educational institution. In
an era marked by environmental concerns and increasing energy
demands, the development and implementation of renewable
energy sources, such as solar power, have become imperative.
This document serves as a detailed report on the project, aiming
to elucidate the key objectives, methodology, and findings of our
study.
It also underscores the importance of harnessing solar energy
through grid-tied systems as an environmentally responsible
and economically viable energy solution for institutions like VNR
VJIET.
Throughout this document, we will delve into the intricacies of
our research, encompassing data collection, analysis, and
recommendations for the successful implementation of a grid-
tied solar PV plant at VNR VJIET. By the end of this study, we
hope to provide valuable insights that can contribute to a more
sustainable and energy-efficient future for our institution and
the broader community.

Solar Panels in VNR VJIET

Solar power Analysis:
The total installed capacity of solar system at VNR VJIET is 530kW(
250kW+ 255kW+ 25kW)
Total: 530kW
Solar Plant A: 250kW
Solar plant B: 255kW
Solar plant C: 25kW.

• Line is HT 11kV line

• Transformer rating = 500kVA
• CMD(Contract maximum Demand) = 500kVA
• Diesel generators are 500kVA+250kVA+125kVA= 825kVA
