RESEARCH OBJECTIVE

THE MAIN OBJECTIVE OF THE RESEARCH WAS TO

EXPLORE HOW YOUNG WOMEN RESPONDED TO
FINDING OUT THEY WERE PREGNANT, WHO THEY
TALKED TO, WHO SUPPORTED THEM, AND HOW
THEIR BEHAVIORS WERE INFLUENCED BY LOCAL
SERVICES, INCLUDING ACCESS TO SEX
EDUCATION AND CONTRACEPTION ADVICE.
STATEMENT OF
THE PROBLEM Teenage pregnancy causes personal, family
and societal problems. She also makes her
family members to suffer. The girl’s
carelessness forces her family members to
intervene so as to help her cope with the
pregnancy. For adolescents who are sexually
active, using effective contraceptives (such
as condoms, birth control pills, etc.) every
time they have sexual intercourse will reduce
chances of unwanted pregnancy.
FRAMEWORK
METHODS

This study utilized a non-experimental and descriptive research in which the

researchers determine the effect in families that have a daughter got case of teenage
pregnancy.

Student experience on the effects of being a young mother is the dependent variable
that defined. The researchers gathered the information to conduct a survey in the
effect in the families that have a daughter got case of teenage pregnancy.
FINDINGS
Table 1 shows the
frequency and
percentage in 5 Blk’s in
Baseco that have cases
of teenage pregnancy.
BLK 8 have 3
respondents, BLK 15 B
have 4, BLK 15 A have
2, BLK 10 have 5 and
the last BLK 9 have a 6
respondents.
FINDINGS

Table 2 shows the total frequency and average

of factors that can affect the teen and family
due to the increasing of teenage pregnancy.
Table 2 shows the difficulty frequency of 12
and average of 24 while its mean shows 2.4
among those who said they do not accept
shows 9 and 18% in the frequency and
average and in the mean is 1.8 and in saying
blessing it shows 11 and 22% frequency and
average and in the mean is 2.2. If we examine it,
those who say it’s difficult are high while those
who say it’s a blessing come second. We have
no right to despise our neighbors whether they
are pregnant or not
FINDINGS

Percentage of the factors of

effect in the families that have
a daughter got case of teenage
pregnancy.
CONCLUSION

THE THREE FACTORS SAID BY THE RESPONDENTS THAT CAN

AFFECT A FAMILY ARE DIFFICULTY, THEY DON’T ACCEPT, SOME
SAY IT’S BLESSING CAN ALSO AFFECT A BARANGAY AND
SCHOOLS. THIS IS UNDER THE PERCEPTION OF SHS STUDENTS IN
INCREASING NUMBER OF TEENAGE PREGNANCY IN BASECO.
THE RESEARCHERS LEARNED THAT OTHER RESIDENTS WITH
CASES OF TEENAGE PREGNANCY WERE SUFFERING.
HAVING PROBLEMS WITH YOUNG PREGNANT WOMEN IS ONE OF
THE REASONS FOR TEENAGE PREGNANCY AND THIS IS ONE OF
THE SO-CALLED POVERTY.
RECOMMENDATION

Based on the Findings and Conclusions we have gathered we would like to recommend these things for
the better.

1. In the barangay we want to ask for their help so that they can think of making a program that will help pregnant women.

2. Program for the poor so that somehow they don’t get into trouble.

3. At the D.O.H./Center of barangay 649, free check-ups and free treatment should be provided for pregnant women.

4. To the residents, I hope they will be careful with their children, especially those they know who are going to get married.

5. In a family that I hope they can properly give their child good lessons.

6. For young girls and teenagers, I hope they will learn to avoid things they will be with and they will also learn self control.
