4. Procedures
The teacher will let the pupils sing the Song entitled ‘’There are Friends’’ using
the tune B-I-N-G-O dog Song and using the voice of dwarf and giant.

The pupils will be asked:


4.1 Introductory Activity
(while the teacher paste the 4 clouds on the board)
 How was the activity?
 Who are the friends in the song?
8 minutes  What are the things they always bring when they go?
 What are their favorite animals/pets?
 Where do they go every Monday to Friday?

a. Process the activity


Let the pupils place the corresponding pictures of their answers to their
correct categories
b. Ask the following questions
 In these categories
 Where should we put/place the student and the teacher? Why?
4.2 Activity  Where should we put/place the pencil and the bag? Why?
 Where should we put/place the cat and the dog? Why?
 Where should we put/place the school? Why?
10 minutes  Based on your observation, what do these pictures /names refer to?
 What is the general term for all of the four groups?

The teacher paste the sun on the board and let the pupils know that noun is
the name of a person, place, things and animals.

The teacher prepares an apple tree with fruits on it and four baskets

The pupils will be asked:


 Have you eaten this kind of fruit?
 Aside from apples,what other fruits do you know that are rich in
vitamins?
4.3 Analysis  Is it necessary/important to eat fruits? Why?
(The teacher explain the importance in eating fruits)
8 minutes  How many apples are there in the tree?
 How many baskets do you see?
Let the pupils pick an apple that contains noun and place it into the correct
basket according to its categories.
 How many apples in each basket?

Let the pupils read the words they categorized.
 Ask,” Are these words placed in the correct basket/categories?”
4.4 Abstraction  Ask, “What do you call all these words?”
 Ask, “What are nouns?”

Divide the class into 3 groups. Let them do the following activities. Set
standards and rules in doing the activity.

Group 1 - Have them categorize each sample picture .
7 minutes Group 2 - Have them categorize each given nouns/naming words.
Group 3 - Have them write three (3) nouns/naming words in each of the
category.
Directions: Put check (/) if a word is noun and wrong (x)
