Company History
Early in the 1970’s, Atty. Senforiano B. Alterado Sr., formerly the Chief
of the Enforcement Office of the Civil Aeronautics Administration, came
and tried his luck in Davao City, known to be the largest city in the
world and the home of the Philippine Eagle, with the dream of
establishing the first flying school in Mindanao. It was his passion to
give young people the opportunity to experience the challenge of
conquering their future through meaningful education. The journey that

Mats College of Technology has a total enrollment of 1,796 students,
contributing to CHED of gross domestic products (GDP) by the enrolled
students for the school year 2023. Davao Region has various schools
and universities that also contribute a huge part of GDP to the
economic growth of the education industry. Mats College is a private
sector institution that also offers a variety of courses in such areas as
aviation, maritime education, business, criminology, and engineering.
In addition to tertiary-level programs, the school also has a senior high
school (SHS) program with academic and technical-vocational-
livelihood (TVL) strands.
