PATENT DESCRIPTION

Title: Bathtub Splash Water Guard

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to bathtub industry, and more specifically to a bathtub
splash water guard and method of making the same, wherein the guard is designed to attach to a
bathtub used for children, toddlers, young kids, and even pets.

BACKGROUND ART

[0002] Generally, a bathtub, also known simply as a bath or tub, is a container for holding water
in which a person or another animal may bathe. Most modern bathtubs are made of
thermoformed acrylic, porcelain-enameled steel or cast iron, or fiberglass-reinforced polyester. It
a relatively large open container that you fill with water and use to wash the body. synonyms:
bath, bathing tub, tub. types: footbath.

[0003] However, most bathtub take up more space than showers, filling a bathtub requires a lot
of water, bathing is more time-consuming, the elderly may have difficulties using a bathtub, and
the dirt from your body remains in your bath water.

[0004] Further, when parents give children a bath, they usually splash a lot of the water out of
the bath and into the bathroom floor. This product fixes this problem through the guard (it blocks
the water from escaping the bathtub). It also keeps kids occupied in the bath as it has the shelf
area where kids can use to place their toys on it and play with their toys. The last issue that it
fixes is the fact that there is no product like this that fits on curved edge bathtubs.

[0005] The present invention is a universal fit and can fit on all different types of
shaped and sized bathtubs.
2

[0006] There is one product out there that acts as a splash guard. However, this product
states that it only works for rectangular/straight bathtubs. Our product is a universal fit
product so it works for ALL different shaped bathtubs including straight, curved, and
circular bathtubs.

[0007] The US patent application number US9518383B2 of 2014 discloses a Bathtub

drain stopper assembly and screen. A drain stopper assembly for a bathtub having a
drain aperture, and a method for using the assembly. A guide rod may be slid within a
guide slide, allowing a gasket to be sealed or unsealed against the drain aperture.
Magnets or, alternatively, a spring-loaded mechanism, may be used to facilitate
sealing/unsealing of the gasket. A filter may be mounted within the drain aperture, and
be removably or permanently attached to the assembly.

[0008] However, the above prior is different from the proposed invention.

[0009] Therefore, there is need to develop a user-friendly a bathtub splash water guard
for attaching to a bathtub used for children, toddlers, young kids, and even pets.

so that when parents are giving their kids a bath, the kids don’t splash all the water out of the
bath, because this product stops the water from falling out of the bath and lets the water go back
into the bath. It also has the bottom layer (platform/shelf) where kids can put their toys and play
with them on. It is a universal fit product...

[0014] The said bathtub splash water guard has a flexible lips function, and rectangular suctions.
The flexible lips function has rectangular suctions that are designed to attach to any shaped
surface area including curved, straight or bumpy. the guard is designed to attach to a bathtub
used for children, toddlers, young kids, and even pets. Also disclosed is a method of making a
bathtub splash water guard.

[0015] So there are two main types of bathtub edges... Straight and Curved.... so the plastic lip
that grabs on to the inside of the bathtub is flexible and has suction cups on it (in the shape of
rectangles), so it can grab onto both straight bathtubs and the curved bathtubs as well... The way
it grabs on to the bath is through the bottom lip which attaches to the inside of the bathtub with
rectangular suctions, it also has suctions at the bottom of the platform/shelf that attach to the top
bit of the edge of bathtub that it’s leaning on. However, these extra suctions at the bottom of the
platform/shelf are not necessary.

[0022] The present invention describes a bathtub splash water guard and method of making the
same, wherein the guard is designed to attach to a bathtub used for children, toddlers, young
kids, and even pets as taught in Fig. 1-3.

[0023] The product is basically a guard that sticks to the edge of a bathtub 100 designed to help
parents when they are giving their kids 06 a bath, and the kids don’t splash all the water out of
the bath 05, because this product stops the water from falling out of the bath and lets the water go
back into the bath. It also has the bottom layer (platform/shelf) where kids can put their toys and
play with them on. It is a universal fit product.

[0024] So there are two main types of bathtub edges straight and curved so the plastic lip that
grabs on to the inside of the bathtub is flexible and has suction cups on it (in the shape of
rectangles), so it can grab onto both straight bathtubs and the curved bathtubs as well. The way it
grabs on to the bath is through the bottom lip which attaches to the inside of the bathtub with
rectangular suctions, it also has suctions at the bottom of the platform/shelf that attach to the top
