Need to Remember/Review

Halley's comet

 Comet Halley was last visible in Earth's night sky in 1986.

 it is expected to make its next appearance in 2061.
 visits the Earth after every 76 years.

Mesosphere

The mesosphere layer protects the Earth from large meteoroids. It's in the
mesosphere where it serves as a shield for meteorites.
Ceres

 dwarf planet, the largest asteroid in the main asteroid belt, and the first
asteroid to be discovered.
 was found, serendipitously, by the Italian astronomer Giuseppe Piazzi of the
Palermo Observatory on January 1, 1801.

Asteroid Belt

 Place where Asteroids "hang out" in our solar system

 The majority of known asteroids orbit within the asteroid belt between
Mars and Jupiter
Oort Cloud and the Kuiper Belt

 Many comets are thought to originate in the Oort cloud at several tens of
thousands from the Sun

Revolution

 The motion around the sun along its orbit

 Earth revolves in orbit around the Sun in 365 days

Rotation

 refers to an object's spinning motion about its own axis.

 The rotation of the Earth on its axis causes day and night.

Pacific Ocean

 The Philippines is prone to typhoons due to its location near the Pacific
Ocean

Ring Of Fire

 the Philippines is located in the Pacific Ring of Fire, an area in the Pacific
Ocean where many volcanic eruptions and earthquakes occur which is why
around 20 earthquakes are experienced per day in the country
