SO … THAT, SUCH … THAT

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to compose sentences


of cause and effect by using so…that, such…that.

Grammar

• You are so beautiful that I can’t get my eyes off you.


• This machine works so loudly that I have a headache.

• It was such a good movie that many people watched it.


• She has such beautiful eyes that I can’t forget.

1. Study the following material.

Pay attention to the usage of so …that and such … that to express a cause and effect.

EXAMPLE EXPLANATION

Exercise 3. Complete the text with so or such

Finland is (1) a nice place to go on winter holidays. The winter there
