3. There is a mains connection on the back of the operating unit. Insert the mains cable into
the mains connection and connect the calibrator to the mains voltage.
4. There is a mains switch on the back of the operating unit. Use it to switch on the device.
ATTENTION!
After connecting the HV unit to the operating unit and after switching on the
calibrator, the serial number of the HV unit is displayed on the operating unit.
Check whether the displayed serial number and the serial number of the
HV unit are identical.
If the displayed serial number does not match the serial number on the
HV unit, no valid measurement results can be achieved. Check that you
have inserted the correct HV unit.

Checking oil devices
1. If you are checking a DTA 100 C, select the menu item “Measurement with KA 100 C" by
pressing the arrow keys.
If you are checking a DPA 75 C, the menu item “Measurement with KA 75 C” is
displayed. Select this menu item.
2. Click "Next" to confirm the entry.

Checking oil devices
3. Ensure that:
The calibrator determines the voltage for the current voltage step. The voltage value
is displayed on the calibrator.
The oil tester likewise determines the voltage for the current voltage step. You are
prompted for the voltage value determined by the calibrator on the oil tester display.

Error messages
5 E RROR MESSAGES
if the HV unit is not adjusted. Instead of the serial number, "SN ------------" is displayed
in this case.
a. Check that you have inserted the correct HV unit. Insert the matching HV unit.
b. If the warning is still displayed despite the correct HV unit being inserted, the HV unit
must be readjusted. Contact BAUR Prüf- und Messtechnik GmbH or your nearest
BAUR representative (http://www.baur.at/worldwide/).
The warning indicator flashes:
if the measured voltage value significantly exceeds the final nominal value of the oil
tester.
The cause for this is a possible defect in the oil tester. Contact BAUR Prüf- und
Messtechnik GmbH or your nearest BAUR representative
(http://www.baur.at/worldwide/).
2. The warning on the frequency indicator is displayed:
If the frequency lies outside the valid range. Valid range: 50 Hz (48-52 Hz ); 60 Hz
(58-62 Hz ).
The cause for this is a possible defect in the oil tester. Contact BAUR Prüf- und
Messtechnik GmbH or your nearest BAUR representative
(http://www.baur.at/worldwide/).
3. The warning on the temperature indicator is displayed:
When the temperature of the HV unit lies outside the permitted range (22º C± 4° C).
Switch on the air-conditioner in order to achieve the specified measurement
temperature range.
