WILDFIRES

INTRODUCTION
Wildfires are unplanned fires that burn in a natural area such as a forest,
grassland, or prairie.
Wildfires are usually caused by the human's activity such as camping,
cigarette, or by natural phenomenon like when the ground is very dry, and
the heat of the sun makes it burn.
WHERE DOES IT HAPPEN?
CALIFORNIA’S WILDFIRE
In the 2018, in California was the deadliest and most destructive wildfire
season on record in California. there were a total of 103 confirmed
fatalities, 24,226 structures damaged or destroyed, and 8,527 fires burning
1,975,086 acres.

AUSTRALIAN WILDFIRE
The Australia wildfires of 2019-2020 were a series of bushfires in
Australia between June 2019 and May 2020. In total, the fires would have
destroyed more than 2,500 buildings and killed 26 people. Many people
said that it was the most terrible wildfire in Australia although in 1974
there was a wildfire that burns four times more than that of 2020.
SPAIN WILDFIRES
The wildfires were in Galicia, Asturias and Castilla y León, and practically
all north and centre of Portugal in the 2017. There is wildfire luckily only
causes four deaths.
THE MOST DAMAGING WILDFIRE
The most damaging fire were Incendio de Sylmar in California in 2008. It
caused the destruction of more than 489 residences in the Sylmar
neighbourhood of the city of Los Angeles. And the fire in Chicago 1871
where more than 17,000 buildings were destroyed and were killed more
than 300 people there was caused by hot and windy weather, also to most
of the wooden constructions in the whole city.
