This manual is an addendum to the 9000/7000/500 Central Issuance System (CIS)
Software v6.3 Installation Guide. This addendum covers the following new
information:
1. Features and bug fixes
2. EPROM changes
3. Procedures for Installing the FixPack software in the Controller
4. Procedure for Installing OS/2 Service Pack 11, if needed
5. Procedures for Configuring Print Drivers for UltraForm Systems, if needed
6. Procedure for Setting the CAPC BIF Card IRQ, if needed.

EPROM Change

When you are finished installing the CIS software installation, re-install any
options your system previously had.
1. Go to Utilities 4System Maintenance 4Install and answer Yes to the first
prompt.
2. Insert the CD containing the Datacard Central Issuance System software into
the CD-ROM drive.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts.
4. From the Directory list box move the highlight bar to the directory you want
(English or Japanese) and select it. The list consists of the following:
Some systems may not have all of the options listed above.
5. Select INSTALL.EXE and wait for the installation program to load its files.
6. Once the files are loaded, the following window displays and you can begin the
installation process.

7. Select OK, and the Install Directories window will appear.
8. At this point you need to select all of the components and drives that are being
used by the system. If the system receives data from a CSM or a tape drive,
these options must be selected at this time.
Caution: Check with the system administrator to ensure that all of the
necessary components are selected before proceeding.
9. When you have finished selecting the necessary components, click on Install.
10. When the installation is complete, the following window is displayed:

Service Disk) level with your system. If the following two checks display the
correct information, you are at the current level and do not have to install
Service Pack 11.

2. From a C:> prompt, check that the following two files, in C:\OS2\DLL\
PARALLEL.PDR and C:\OS\DLL\IBMDULL\IBMNULL.DRV have the proper
time and date stamp:
PARALLEL.PDR, would be: 4-13-99 15848 and IBMNULL.DRV would be: 1-
14-98 133752.

2. Open an OS/2 window on your desktop and change to the directory for the CD.
This is usually the D drive and can be accessed by typing D: and pressing Enter.
3. Type cd os2_fp\DDFP and press Enter.
4. From this prompt do the following:
a. Type FIXTPREP and press Enter.
b. Type os2serv and press Enter.
5. At this point a window appears. In the “Serviceable Products” box your OS/2
partition/drive/pathname is displayed.

5. Highlight the correct partition/drive/pathname (if you have more than one, ask
the system administrator which option is correct) and click the Install button.
6. When the installation is complete, an informational window will display the
message: Installation complete. Please shut down the system and reboot. Click
OK to return to the OS/2 window.
7. Type EXIT, press Enter to return to the desktop, and reboot your system.
8. After your system has rebooted, open an OS/2 window and change to the CD
directory.
9. Type cd os2_fp and press Enter.
10. Type cd fp11 and press Enter.
11. Type install and press Enter.
12. The following message will appear: This program will guide you through the
installation of the fixes necessary to run UGFX scalable fonts under OS/2 Warp 4.0.
Press any key when ready.
13. Follow the prompts to complete the installation. When you are finished, the
following message will appear: The fix pack script completed. Rebooting is not
necessary.
14. Type exit and press Enter to get out of the OS/2 window.
15. If you were unable to install the DDFP drivers in the previous section, please
return to Installing the DDFP Drivers and do so now. Perform a test run to
verify functionality before leaving the customer site.

Configuring Print Drivers for UltraForm Systems
Follow the instructions here for a system with an UltraForm card delivery system.
The following material describes post installation activities required to ensure
correct print driver configuration for UltraForm systems.
· HP LaserJet IIID
· Letter
· A4
· Legal
· Audit
These are default names; you might have renamed the icons. We will use the
default names in this description.
Examine the icons to see if one uses printer driver 30.590. Use the following
procedure to check for this driver:
6. Click on the Job Properties button to open the Job Settings: <name of printer>
window with the Driver Version displayed on the Title Bar. The version should
read 30.590.
(Or, you can right-click on the icon to choose Properties from the list, which opens
the Printer Settings: <name of printer> window with the Driver Version displayed
on the Title Bar. The version should read 30.590.)
7. If you found the icon for the 30.590, proceed to Moving the HP LaserJet (30.590)
Icon to the Desktop. (b) If you found something other than the 30.590 icon, go
to Deleting Your Printer Driver Icons. (c) If you did not find any printer driver
icons, go to Installation When No Printer Icons Are Present.

Moving the HP LaserJet (30.590) Icon to the Desktop
This procedure applies to any of the other printer icons itemized above.
1. Select the Connections icon.
2. Select the Printers icon.
3. Select the HP LaserJet III D icon, and then with the right mouse button select
Move.
4. Select Desktop and click the Move button.
5. Close all windows.
With the right mouse button, click on the HP LaserJet IIID icon on the desktop. Then
select Properties and proceed as described in the next section.
This procedure applies to all of the other printer icons itemized above, except in
Step 5, where it does not apply to the Audit Trail printer.
1. Right-click on the HP LaserJet IIID icon, select Properties, and then select the
Printer driver tab.
2. Right-click on the LASERJET.HP LaserJet IIID icon (bottom half of the screen),
and then select Properties from the menu to open the Printer Settings window
and select the Setup tab.
3. From the Setup tab display, change the value in the Memory (KB) in printer
from 1024 to 2048. Turn Page Protection to OFF. When finished, press Save.
4. If the jobs to be run on this system have only one page size, click on Job
properties and under Form, select your default page size. Then click on Save.
5. Select the Output Port tab in the Properties window, and select Output to File.
6. Close the HP LaserJet IIID Properties window.
7. Reboot the system.
8. Go to Deleting Your Printer Driver Icons
Use the following procedure to install a new 30.590 printer driver. If there are any
printer icons in your Printers-Icon View folder, move them to your desktop.
1. Delete all the desktop printer icons except for the HP LaserJet IIID icon.
2. Continue with Installing the New HP LaserJet IIID Driver (30.590).

Installing the New HP LaserJet IIID Driver (30.590)
1. Right-click on the HP LaserJet IIID icon, and then select Properties and the
Printer Driver tab.
2. Right-click on the LASERJET.HP LaserJet IIID icon in the top half of the screen
(called the Installed Printer Drivers).
3. Click on Install.
4. In the Install New Printer Driver window, click on the Other OS/2 printer
driver option button. Then in the Directory text box, enter:
x:\ drivers\30590\ (where x = the CD-ROM drive).

2. Double-click on the Templates folder.
3. Double-click on the Printer Template icon.
4. In the New name text box near the top of the window, type in: HP LaserJet
IIID.
5. Highlight Desktop in the Opened text box area.
6. Click the Create button.
7. When the <HP Laserjet IIID>-Create a printer window opens, click on the
Install new printer driver … button.
8. In the Install New Printer Driver window, click on the Other OS/2 printer
driver radio button; and then in the Directory text box, type:
X:\drivers\30590\
(where x=the CD-ROM drive)
9. Click on the Refresh button. The system will read the CD-ROM.
10. Select HP Laserjet IIID Printer Driver is LASERJET from the menu line.
11. Click on the Install button.
12. Select OK at the prompt: The printer drivers that you selected were successfully
installed.
13. Click on the Cancel button.
14. This puts the LASERJET.HP LaserJet IIID icon and the IBMNULL icon in the
Default Printer Driver window.
15. Highlight the LASERJET.HP LaserJet IIID icon and check the Output to file
box.
16. Click on the Create button.
17. The printer icon is now on your desktop.
18. Close the open windows.
Proceed to configuring the driver as described in the following section.

4. If the jobs to be run on this system have only one page size, click on Job
properties and under Form, select your default page size. Then click on Save.
5. Close the HP LaserJet IIID Properties window.
6. Reboot the system.
Create separate Print Queue Icons for each Page Size (A4, etc) that is needed.
1. Locate the BIF card in the CAPC. You should be able to access the interrupt pin
settings without removing the board.
2. Reconfigure the card for IRQ7 by moving the jumper as shown.
