 Severodonetsk is a city in the Luhansk
Oblast of Ukraine, located to the northeast
of the left bank of the Siverskyi Donets
river. The city, whose name comes from the
above-mentioned river, had a population of
101,135 (2021 est.) It is the second most
populous city in the oblast.
There are plenty of famous sights in Severodonetsk,
for example the building of the Luhansk Regional
Academic Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater is the
oldest cultural building in the city, built in 1953 as a
Club of Chemists.
 Severodonetsk is a city with a developed
economy. The city receives its main
income from the chemical industry.
Severodonetsk Azot Association is the
only company in the group that produces
acetic acid, methanol and vinyl acetate.

"Severodonetsk Association Azot" - the largest

chemical factory in Ukraine and Europe,
but now it`s damaged due to the war.
