Fruit Wedge Half
With CC, make a magic circle

Rnd 1: Ch1, 6 sc in mc, sl st in 1st sc (6 sts)

Rnd 2: Ch1, inc in every st around, sl st in 1st sc with MC (12 sts)

Rnd 3: Ch1, inc in same st as ch1, *sc, inc* rep * * until you come to the last st, sc,
sl st in 1st sc (18 sts)

Rnd 4: Ch1, sc in same st as ch1, sc, inc *2 sc, inc* rep * * around, sl st in 1st sc
(24 sts)

Rnd 5: Ch1, inc in same st as ch1, *3 sc, inc* rep * * until you come to the last 3
sts, 3 sc, sl st in 1st sc (30 sts)

In the wedge half, place st markers as show in the photo below with your middle
marker placed in the beginning st of the rnd and your left and right markers
placed equidistant in the sts above the corresponding long sts from Rnd 9. These
11 sts will not be seamed, they will constitute the opening of your bag.

Seaming
With the RS of your halves facing each other, sc through both sets of sts
as show in the photo below, starting with the last st you chained up from
in Rnd 12 of the solid rind half and the st your left st marker is in. End the
rnd by working through the st set corresponding with your rightmost st
marker.

Your bag should look like the photo below:

Mesh Bag

Your first rnd of mesh is worked into the rnd of sc you just made while
seaming the bag. The mesh is worked out from the "inside" of the bag so
that when you turn the bag right side out, the mesh portion is contained
inside.

Rnd 1: *Ch4, sc in 3rd st from hook* rep * * until you come to the last 2
sts, ch2, dc in 1st ch st (20 loops made)

Your work should look like this:

Rnd 2: *Ch5, sc in next loop* rep * * 18 more times, ch3, dc in dc st from

Rnd 3: *Ch6, sc in next loop* rep * * 18 more times, ch3, tr in dc st from

Rnds 15-16: Ch1, sc in same st as ch1, sc around, sl st in 1st sc (60 sc)

Rnd 17: Ch1, sc in same st as ch1, 9 sc, ch20, sc in 11th sc from hook (not
counting these 20 ch sts), 19 sc, ch20, sc in 11th sc from hook (not
counting these 20 ch sts), 9sc, sl st in 1st sc.

Rnd 18-20: Ch1, sc in same st as ch1, 79 sc around, sl st in 1st sc (80 sc)

Cut yarn leaving at least a 6 inch tail. Weave in on the WS.

Leaf
Holding your green yarn double, and leaving at least a 6 inch tail, ch7 and
work as follows:

Sc in 2nd st from hook, hdc, 3 dc, sc, sl st into the middle stitch at the
back of your bag opening as shown below:

You will now work down the other side of your fc as follows: sc in same st
as last sc, 3 dc, hdc, sc, sl st in 1st sc.

Cut yarn leaving at least a 4 inch tail

Sew the two halves of a snap button closure onto the underside of your
leaf and the front side of your wedge half as shown.

Weave in all loose ends, and enjoy!

Long Stitch Technique

Take note of the corresponding stitches of your


current round and Rnd 2 indicated by the stitch
markers and the lines.

Work 4 sts as indicated in the Draw your yarn up and through


pattern. the corresponding stitch from Rnd
2.

Slip your hook through your long Draw your live, sc st through the
stitch and pick up your live, sc st. long stitch.

Continue working as instructed in


the pattern. Your live sts should
look like this. Work into all sts as
normal on the next rnd.
