UNIT 3: QUALITATIVE RESEARCH METHODS – TUTORIAL ACTIVITIES

Qualitative Research Method involves data that are texts, pictures, videos and are not numbers. In this module there are 7 popular research designs that are
usually applied in research. In the Methodology section (Chapter 3 of Research Proposal), you are to identify and defend the methodology. Please complete
the following activities to help you start and complete Chapter 3 of the methodology section.

Task C: Defend your methodology.

• Collect a minimum of 5 similar journals related to your research topic.
• Compare with high logical reasoning and critical thinking of the methods that is applied in each of the journals.
• Use this information to defend your methodology and why it is the most appropriate methodology that you will apply in your study.
UNIT 3: QUALITATIVE RESEARCH METHODS – TUTORIAL ACTIVITIES

• When compiling chapter 3 Methodology section of the research proposal, cite these journals and in this way, you are already defending
your methodology.
Task D: Identify the weakness and look at how you plan to strengthen the weaknesses of the methodology.

• Identify weaknesses of the methodology that you will apply.

• Explain how you plan to limit those limitations or weaknesses of your study.
