The college is always seeking new opportunities to expand its business model, improve the day-
to-day experience of students and faculty, foster lasting and meaningful relationships with
community members and local organizations, and promote a future which is diverse, inclusive,
innovative, and grounded in excellence. They are seeking proposals for collaborative
opportunities which align with their current mandate, and which will promote continued
excellence within the institution.

Length: 1200-1500 words

For this assignment, students must complete a comprehensive research report which provides
details about a company, product or service that they would like Cambrian College to have a
collaborative business relationship with. Students are encouraged to choose a theoretical
collaboration that they are personally interested in or excited about. These collaborations can
either be with Cambrian College as a whole, or with any sub-section of the college (a specific
department or program, food and beverage services, student groups or faculty union, student
services, community outreach efforts, marketing and branding --- if you can think of it it’s
probably good).

This report should cover the following topics: company history, company mandate, current
status and viability, and ongoing projects. Further, it should make a specific recommendation as
to what a collaborative effort with Cambrian would look like, how it would align with Cambrian’
current mandate or 5-year plan, and what this would specifically achieve that benefits the
college.

Include a proposed timeline, and a project outcome that has a measurable rate of success.

All reports should include a minimum of 4 professional sources (including the Cambrian
website/mandate/strategic plan), and be properly formatted in the APA style. For other
sources, consider company websites, white papers, industry reports, conference proceedings,
journal articles, and scholarly articles.

If working in a group, please also include a brief breakdown of roles and responsibilities (who
wrote what in particular).
