Philippine Flag
By: FERNANDO AMORSOLO

Fernando Amorsolo's artwork the Making of the Philippine Flag has a

rustic design to it. It is of a painting medium, conveying the same sense of a
pastoral scene, though indoors, as most of his artworks depict this sort of
farm-like feeling, the calm gaze, the warm summer breeze and such.

A certain rumor developed surrounding the mysteries of the first

Philippine flag. Not going deeper into details, the flag's original color scheme
isn't what it is today. As such, the flag still is the symbolic piece that
represents our country as a whole; with its functionality in representation
when colors are altered, the Philippine flag is more or less adored for its
particularly unique alteration mechanics.

In that light, the art "Making of the Philippine Flag" has quite the
inveigling design. It is an old art, having ragged design and crude, worn color
scheme. Still, the essence and form of the art doesn't stray as to how it
appears. It has clarity, showing or clearly depicting its contents; that being two
women and a girl sewing and prepping the flag before it was finally raised.
