Palette
The selection of colors chosen to compose
a particular design is known as "Palette".
When you want to tell your graphic
designer to use a specific selection of
colors that he already knows, to compose
a new visual piece.

Sentence:
The palette you choose for my design is of
cold colors.
Sketch
It is a drawing or graphic representation
of an idea, which aims to illustrate the
basic guidelines of a visual piece (for
example a logo). It works like a draft, in
order to implement all the necessary
modifications until you find the model
closest to the desired work, to guide its
subsequent development.

Sentence
The graphic design professor asked us
to make a sketch of a still life.
Logotype
It refers to the graphic representation of a brand exclusively made up of
words or typography. Thus, those institutional or business symbols that
include drawings or icons are not properly logos.

Portfolio
It is a selection of a designer's best works, ordered chronologically or
following a concept or idea. The goal is to provide an overview of the
experience and quality of the designer's work.
Photographs
Photography applied in graphic design is
the composition that is made with the
help of digital elements to compose a
scenario and a message is transmitted,
even being able to improve them through
editing programs such as Photoshop or
Illustrator.

Sentence
The artist painted with such realism that
his paintings looked like photographs.
RGB
From the English 'Red, Green, Blue', it is a color model that is used for
screen purposes. RGB is an additive color, which means that when mixing
colors, we start with black and finish with white as we add more color.

Scale
It is the change in size of an object while keeping its shape and
proportions intact. A large scale can create drama and a small scale can
create fine details.
Isotype
It is the visual representation of a
brand or text, which lacks textual
elements. In this sense, it is the
opposite of the logo. It is about
representing the identity of a
business or commercial proposal
simply by means of an icon or
drawing, so that users can identify
the brand just by seeing it.
Tipography
It is the artistic arrangement of the letter
in a readable and visually attractive way.
Typography, in general, refers to the
design and use of various types of
characters in a way that helps to better
communicate, visually, ideas.

Sentence
Because of the typography I used, my
work looks very formal.
Texture
When it comes to design, the texture refers to the actual tactile surface of
a design, or the visual tactility of your design. By superimposing textured
images and graphics on your design, you can usually create a tactile visual
appearance that reflects the real texture.

Sentence
Our teacher ask to do a painting with texture finishes.
Thank you
