    There are currently 169 oil wells across 12 fields in Tabasco, Mexico. The largest field is Sanches Magallanes, which contains 64 wells. Overall the fields cover an area of 15,000 square km across two sub-basins of the Gulf of Mexico basin. Daily oil and gas production from the fields is 113,507 barrels of crude oil and 222 million cubic feet of natural gas. A new refinery is also being built in Dos Bocas, Tabasco with a planned capacity of 340 thousand barrels per day.
