Hiring Manager

Dear Ma’am/Sir,

I am writing to express my interest in the teaching position in your institution. To teach outside our country is
really an ambition of mine. I know that it is not going to be easy but I do believe in myself that I have what it
takes to be a foreign English teacher.

I’ve been teaching for more than 2 years now. My teaching career started in an International School as soon as I
graduated from college. I passed the licensure examination for teacher last September 2019, then I applied and
got accepted to work at a private school. I’ve attended lots of trainings and seminars while teaching. I’ve
experienced teaching different kind of learners. Aside from working as a classroom teacher, I do have another
teaching experience. I’ve been teaching foreign students as well (Chinese Learners). I am an ESL teacher with
TESOL/TEFL certificate. When it comes to learning English language online, Acadsoc is one of the biggest names
in China. I’ve been with Acadsoc for more than two years. I am not working in the said online platform anymore
but I am still conducting private English language tutorials for foreign learners. I am always open when it comes
to learning. My students at school and online keeps telling me that I am a fun teacher to be with. Making them
happy while learning is always a priority for me. I always want learning to be fun and exciting. I believe that
learner learns more when they are enjoying the process. I never wanted a learner to feel bad about learning. My
teaching philosophy is strongly focused on humanist approach. I aim to ensure learners basic needs are met in
the classroom so that they feel happy, comfortable and safe in the classroom. When learners’ basic needs are
met, they can focus on learning and personal development which is really vital to the teaching and learning
process. I also choose to have a learner-centered classroom. I’ve learned a lot about different teaching and
learning modalities for different kind of learners. They learn more when you engage them in the learning
process. The “I do, you do, we do” approach is always a part of my teachinglearning environment. I also make
sure to give some motivational activities to keep learning fun and enjoyable.

If I ever get accepted to teach in your institution, I will apply everything I’ve learned from my teaching
experience. I will also take this chance to learn from your educational system. If given a chance, I want to have
my Master’s Degree in your country. I want to improve myself to be a more effective teacher. I want to keep
growing as a teacher. It is a goal not just for myself but for the students as well. If given a chance to teach in
your country, I want to leave a mark that my students will remember. I want to make an impact and I want to
change some lives.
