Dissection Hall Rules and Regulations

General Rules

 Eating, drinking, smoking, chewing gum, and using electronic devices, such as
phones and music players, is strictly prohibited in the dissection hall.
 Personal belongings must be stored in the designated lockers before entering the
dissection hall.
 Appropriate attire, including a laboratory coat, closed-toe shoes, and gloves,
worn at all times.
 Long hair must be tied back to prevent it from getting caught in equipment or
specimens.
 Horseplay and other disruptive behavior is strictly prohibited.
 All injuries must be reported to a staff member immediately.

Respect for Specimens

 Specimens must be treated with the utmost respect and dignity.


 Specimens must not be defaced or mutilated in any way.
 Specimens must not be removed from the dissection hall without prior authorization.

Ethical Conduct

 Students must not discuss dissection with non-medical personnel.


 Photography and video recording of specimens is strictly prohibited.
 Students must not take any educational specimens from the dissection hall without
prior authorization.

Additional Rules

 Dissection tables must be cleaned and disinfected after each use.


 All waste must be disposed of in the designated containers.
 Sharp instruments must be handled with care and disposed of in the designated
containers.
 Students must wash their hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling
specimens.
