Club Rules

Membership Tags
All members must register their visit by scanning their Membership Tag. Registering your attendance is
compulsory for security and insurance requirements. Replacement of the Membership Tag incurs a cost.

Unauthorised Access
Under no circumstances are members to allow access to the Club to anyone, even if this person is a
member and has forgotten their membership tag. Should you forget your membership tag to gain access
to the Club there are contact phone numbers displayed on the front door.

Photo
For security reasons, a photo will be taken of you which will be stored on our database and not used for
any other purpose.

24 Hour Access
All members with 24 Hour Access must have completed the induction process in emergency response
procedure prior to being granted access.

Use of Equipment
All members to use equipment responsibly and safely. Equipment to be used only for intended purpose.
Please return weights and bars to the racks when you have finished with them. This includes unloading
plates from machines when you have finished the exercise. This rule applies to equipment used for classes.
Safety bars are to be always used on bench presses and squat racks.
Dropping or bouncing of weights is not permitted anywhere in the Club. Please use a lighter weight or ask
a trainer to spot (assist) you if required.
Should you use more than one piece of equipment at a time please be respectful and allow others to work
in with you.

Cleaning Equipment
Please wipe down the floor surrounding you in group fitness classes. Wipe all equipment and benches after
use with the sanitiser provided. Cleaning stations are located throughout the Club.

Towels
The rule “no towel, no workout” applies. Towels must be used when participating in classes and placed on
equipment that you are using to maintain hygiene and safety standards. Towels are available for purchase
from Reception.

Dress Code
Fully enclosed, clean sports shoes must be worn during workouts for safety reasons. Members are required
to always wear a singlet or t-shirt in the Club. Clothing must be clean and tidy with no offensive prints or
designs for the consideration of other members.
Bags
All bags are to be stored in the lockers provided. No bags are allowed in any of the training areas,
including the group fitness room, as they are a trip hazard.

Children
Children under the age of 12 are not permitted anywhere within the Club other than Kids Club when it is
available, refer to Kids Club details below. Children between the ages to 12 and 18 years are only allowed
in the training areas if they are members. Refer to our separate policy for memberships for those under
the age of 18 years.

Kids Club
The Kid’s Club is an adjunct care facility only. Bookings are essential and spaces are limited.
Refer to our separate Kid’s Club Policy and operating times.

Lockers
Lockers are available and located near the change rooms and to secure the locker you must provide your
own locking device (further details on the membership agreement). Please remove your items and
padlock at the end of your training session to make the lockers available for other Club patrons.
Any items remaining in the lockers will be put in lost property. Padlocks not removed will be cut open
and items place in lost property.

Lost Property
Any items found will be held for two weeks then disposed of.

Pool Use
The swimming pool is a low patronage pool with no lifeguard on duty. Swim at your own risk. Children
are to be always supervised. Normal pool safety rules apply – no running, jumping, diving or dive
bombing etc. Full details are posted on the Club’s pool deck.
A waiver must be signed by the parent should you bring your child into the club that is a non-member.
