Session: National Mathematics Program (NMP)

Duration of Session 1 hour


Key Understanding to be The National Mathematics Program (NMP) is a subprogram
Developed under the National Learning Recovery Program (NLRP) of
the Department of Education. It aims to drive collaborative
action to promote better numeracy and mathematics learning
in schools across all grade levels.

Learning Objectives The session aims to:


1. explain the purpose and goals of the National
Mathematics Program (NMP),
2. determine the different activities under the National
Mathematics Program (NMP),
3. discuss the strengths and areas of improvement on
the implementation of the different NMP activities
and take possible actions to address gaps, and
4. update knowledge and skills on effective teaching
strategies to enhance learner’s numeracy skills.
