ISOCRATIC SYSTEM
This isocratic system could deliver one type of
mobile phase. By combining the best performance
cost ratio, system stability and maintenance
simplicity,this system is an ideal solution for routine
QA/QC analysis and GPC/SEC application. It can
also be simply upgraded into gradient system with
autosampler to boost your productivity.

QUATERNARY SYSTEM
Quaternary system possesses the advantage of great
flexibility, and it can further be automatized by combing
our autosampler. This combination could fulfil the
complex requirements from pharmacy,
environmental, food safety, petrochemical engineering,
agricultural & farming fields. With the control from
BARCOV Chromatography workstation, it realized full
automatic analysis, report, system flush, shut down and

BRQ-3320

Designed to significantly speed up analysis of routine

sampling. The BRQ-3320 comes standard with 2 x 48 vial
sample trays with ability to optionally expand up to 2 x 96 or
2 x 384 sample trays in addition to accommodating
standard high or low plate or vial.

The Autosampler has a Multi Injection Mode capability

supporting full loop, partial loop and micro pick up without
changing any hardware. Critical to sample analysis is
cleanliness and avoiding cross contamination, the design of
the BARCOV BRQ-3320 Autosampler achieve this by
employing a double wash system, one for cleaning the outer
needle and pickup surfaces and a second, separate wash
for the needle inner parts.

Maintenance is also key to achieving quality test results

and ensuring the maximum lifespan out of the
Autosampler. With the BRQ-3320, all maintenance parts
are easily accessed via the front of the instrument, no
complex disassembly required

At the heart of HPLC system is a high pressure pump used to transmit the mobile phase solvents, combined with the
sample under test, into a chromatographic column. The BARCOC BRQ-3200 series pumps deliver the pressure
needed to overcome the resistance of the column while providing stable pressure (non-pulsating) at precisely
controlled flow rates.

The BARCOV BRQ-3200 pumps employ a combination of control algorithms and double plunger constant flow
pump design to achieve precise flow and pressure control. The BARCOV double plunger pump design integrates a
primary stage to transmit fluids and secondary stage working in tandem to control pulsation and flow rate. The
BRQ-3200 series pumps include overpressure and leakage alarms to improve safety and pump reliability.

Quaternary electromagnetic distribution valve to control flow of 4 solvents of differing polarities
under low pressure. One dual stage high pressure pump to transmit combined liquids to the
chromatographic column. Combined the quaternary valve and high-pressure pump produce
isocratic or gradient elution

Isocratic versus Gradient Elution

With Isocratic elution, the mobile phase is kept at a constant over the
analysis period. Isocratic elution is best suited for samples that have few
components and similar characteristics.
In gradient elution mode, the mobile phase is composed of solvents
having different polarities, controlling the proportions of which alters
the capacity factor k (retention of an analyte on the chromatographic
column) thus optimizing component separation in the shortest amount
of time.
Gradient elution improves degree of separation, reduces analysis time
and increases sensitivity, therefore best applies to analysis of complex PAGE 5 OF 13
components or those that have considerable differences in polarity

The BARCOV BRQ-3400 Column oven is designed to

accurately control mobile phase temperatures using
semiconductor heating and precision temperature control
algorithm. Regulating the mobile phase temperatures reduces
effect of any temperature variation has on the column and
elution, producing more accurate results

UV-VIS DETECTOR
BRQ-3500

Ultraviolet and visible light detector with wide 190 nm to 800 nm

wavelength range. High sampling speed to detect peaks of less than 5s.
Dual light source provides wide linearity range with low noise. Easy to
access flow cell makes maintenance simple. Ultraviolet and visual
spectrum detector, a light source is passed through the sample contained
in a flow cell, a photodiode and high-speed sampler measures the Flow
cell output light intensity.

The BARCOV-3500 UV-Vis Detector based on Lambert-Beer Law where

the concentration and light path length are constant, the absorbance of
the sample can be calculated. The UV-Vis Detector includes two light
sources, a Deuterium lamp with wavelength of 190 nm to 422 nm and a
Tungsten lamp that extends the range from 422 nm to 800 nm. The
BARCOV UV-Vis incorporates unique electrical and mechanical design to
achieve low noise, high sensitivity and flow cell that is easy to maintain.
