On the significant occasion of the installation of Invader’s 4000th
mosaic, the French artist collaborated with Zoo, a Paris-based design
studio, to craft a comprehensive guide—a true ‘bible’ of his work:
‘4000, The Complete Guide to the Space Invaders 1998-2021.’

Just A Book

Conceived as a 1,024-page catalog raisonné, the

objective was to offer a comprehensive overview
of Invader’s artistic journey. Zoo crafted elegant
technical sheets, listing the works chronologically,
along with contextual immersive images, an index,
and a ‘Data’ section to showcase the meticulous
nature of the artist’s work. Notably, special atten-
tion was devoted to the book’s cover, featuring
tear-proof waxed paper and fluorescent inks, en-
hancing its durability and visual appeal.
