About BODh

MIT, SCKV, RT– 3 partners of BODh architects have worked together in architecture
& design field for over 6 years starting from the college days. Prior to starting BODh
architects, we all have worked at different multi disciplinary organizations dealing
with various kinds of projects ranging from resorts to green buildings.

The common interests and never ending desire to do more have bought us together
in making the architectural consultancy ‘BODh Architects’, which is a humble
beginning in the field of design. The services offered by BODh architects, in addition
to architecture, include interior design, landscape design, branding, graphic design &
research.

The name, as it stands – BODh or Building over Dogma – provokes a variety of

meanings and multiple readings. As the name suggests, by building ‘over’ existing
parameters, we abandon preconceptions to revert to the clients’ requirements. We
are reconnoitering strategies beyond traditional boundaries by combining
contemporary design methods with context specific parameters. By exploring digital
realm, we are enriching architecture with intelligence and efficiency. We place our
design ‘over’ and above the existing paradigms, thus creating the unique value to it.

And all this pragmatism out of the box is achieved only when one has thorough
knowledge of it. At BODh we believe in the philosophy – “to like something you don’t
need a reason, but to not like something you have to know every bit of it.” That is
why, at BODh, we give utmost importance to research and consider our practice as a
never ending learning process.

BODh as Research Studio

Each BODh project is the result of meticulous, in depth design process, regardless
of its context, size or scope. We approach every project as a unique challenge and
an exciting opportunity to develop the most dynamic and efficient design. The
process starts with listening to our clients, understanding their needs and aspirations
and then producing design-led solutions which are uniquely tailored to the context
and needs of the end user.

We translate our designs into reality by dreaming on our experience & thoughts,
which embraces every aspect of a building design, construction & performance. For
us, design is a pragmatic process rather than a purely conceptual exercise. Our
architecture is grounded in the practicalities of building use & construction and our
design approach is driven by the desire to deliver buildings which are fundamentally
efficient as they are visually compelling.

At BODh studio, we have created an environment where preconcepts do not limit

innovation & creativity is not shifted by hierarchy. The open principles & values
create a working atmosphere in which we produce exciting ground breaking designs
that embrace the lives of all who use them.
