Inquiry-Based
Learning
She transformed the class into a
textbook based and standardized
test focused classroom

Harry questioned whether

this would prepare them for
fighting against Voldemort
Harry formed Dumbledore's Army
which is purely inquiry-based.

While harry is the teacher, he is

mostly a guide on the side,
empowering students to ask
questions and find the answers
themselves. They rely on each
other and on various text books
to solve problems and answer
their questions.
What is Inquiry-Based Learning?
It is a teaching method that concentrates on
students' inquiry and practical learning where
the student plays an active role by
participating in the complete learning process.

In this method, the lecturer's primary role is

that of a facilitator, providing guidance and
support for students through the learning
process.
4 Phases
of Inquiry
For students to own their learning,
they need to remain curious.
Benefits of Inquiry-Based Learning

Promotes Engagement
Cultivates Important Life Skills
Builds Self-Reliance and Confidence
Interactive Learning
What is Interactive
Learning?
It is described as the method
whereby students intermingle with
other students, with the subject
matter (based on the learning
material), the lecturer (being the
facilitator), and the location or
physical learning environment.
It explores how we can get more
effective learning experiences by
giving the learner opportunities to
apply, analyze and synthesize
prior knowledge in order to
create personal meaning.

This can in turn lead to increased

knowledge retention, a deeper
learning experience and improved
learner outcomes.
Benefits of Interactive Learning

Increased Engagement
Improved Retention
Enhanced Critical Thinking
Improved Student-Teacher Relationships
