Abstract;

Objective; The Spring Balance Experiment aims to explore how the force applied to a spring

affects its extension while also examining the validity of Hookes Law.

Methods; To conduct this experiment we used a spring balance apparatus to apply controlled

forces to springs. We carefully recorded measurements of force and the corresponding

extensions of the springs. Throughout the experiment we adjusted the mass suspended from the

spring balance. Collected data to analyze how the spring behaved.

Results; Our findings revealed a relationship, between force and spring extension within the

range of forces we tested. Statistical analysis confirmed that Hookes Law held true under our

conditions. Additionally we determined spring constants for each type of spring utilized in our

study.

Conclusion; Through the Spring Balance Experiment we successfully validated Hookes Law for

a range of forces and gained insights into how different springs behave. This understanding has

applications in fields, like physics, engineering and material science.
