first, I was worried because I had to leave
all my friends and learn a new language. If

had to leave all your friends, you’d be upset

We drove to Los Angeles and the
journey took 4 hours. When I arrived, I was
very unhappy. I didn’t speak English and I
didn’t have any friends. But I knew my
cousins and they showed me around the
city and helped me a lot. I studied hard and
now I speak English at school and with my
friends. I still speak Spanish at home with
my family.
