9 Following DOs & DON'Ts as listed below: 1.Don't leave 1 3 3


the keys in the cabin.
2.Don't allow any other person / cleaner to drive the
vehicle.

3.Don't use Mobile phone while driving the vehicle.


4.Parking of vehicles near the excavated area is strictly
prohibited and also not in the access path
5.Minimum of 3 meters’ distance to be maintained from the
excavation with parking light and display signage.
6.Avoid unnecessary parking. 7.Spotter to be deploy.
8.Fire extinguisher must be kept inside the cabin.
9.Maintenance to be carried out by an experience mechanic
& prestart checklist to be followed.
12 1.The radius where the Bucket is operated should be 1 4 4
barricaded or flag man to be deputed.
2.Ensuring restriction of unauthorized personnel to enter in
the excavation area. 4.Ensuring all the personnel must wear
reflective jacket.
5.Ensuring by that JCB / excavator operator must aware of
the surrounding area.
6.Operator should not use mobile phone or hear music by
inserting the head phone in the ear.
7.While swinging / reversing - indication horn should be
ON.

JCB bucket while loading soil in the truck.

inform the truck driver & JCB operator.
6.Ensure that there must be a clear understanding /
communication between operator & signalmen.
7.Not overload the trucks since there is possibility of
skidding while travelling on the ramp.
8.Ensuring no personnel movement on ramps whereas
trucks are plying on the ramp.
9.Providing signal men, caution boards & barricading.

procedure is being abided by the workmen.

to be monitored frequently, proper supervision is required.
7. Ensure work at height permit, allow competent person
to do the job, check the safety harness before and after use,
harness shall be anchored above the head, store harness at
proper place to avoid damage to the lanyard.
8. Health check up to be done before start of activity,
speed boat, ring buoy shall be kept site, one diver shall
monitor continuously, proper communication required,
continuous supervision required at all times, first aid
facility, ambulance shall be kept ready available at all the

9. Weather report shall be checked on daily basis, in case


of high wind use anemometer to measure wind speed, work
shall be stopped if wind speed is more than 32km/hr.
10. All riggers & drivers must obtain competency cards.
11. Access route must be assessed before start of the
activity, safe route must be communicated to all, proper
illumination required.
12. Vehicle must be inspected before use, avoid reversing,
if possible, follow the signal of banks man while reversing,
area to be barricaded.
13. All lifting gears must be validated by third party,
inspect all gears before use.
14. Check the ground condition before placing the crane.
15. While lowering load don't put finger below the load,
follow proper hand signal, and deploy competent rigger,
proper supervision is required.
16. Maintain good housekeeping at site.
17. Check the ladder before use, maintain angle of 75
degree.
18. Replace damage ladder immediately, place ladder at
designated place after finishing of the activity, always
position the ladder properly.
12 1. Follow manufacturer guidelines for changing 1 4 4
the wire rope after specified hours of usages or after
specified no of piles or measure the elongation of
wire rope by recording original length Vs elongated
length as part of preventive maintenance schedule.
2. Frequently check the cracks and break of wire
in wire rope and change

12 1. Bore pile shall be covered always using cover


plate with studs to prevent movement.
2. Trim pipe assembly and concreting shall be
done without removing the cover plate and this can
be achieved by providing required sized open in the
bore coving plate.
3. If the casting / liner level is less than 1 m from
ground level, then fall protection measures shall be
taken for anybody to move near to bore hole.

12 1. Ensure soil bearing capacity before mobilizing


the crane.
2. Always use spreader plates for moving cranes
in slushy areas.
3. Never move the cranes without clearing the
slurry or dumped soils, for moving crane with
raised boom requires levelled and firm ground.

12 1. Tag lines shall be used to control the movement


of objects, and nobody is allowed to control with
bare hands. Engage experienced riggers for all types
of material handling.
2. Use sleepers for placing materials to prevent
lifting gear stuck under the load.

12 1. Use load rated standard lifting hooks with


latches for handing liners & rebar cages. Hook
made of reinforcement shall not be used.
12 1. Implement good housekeeping program to ensure
combustible materials and flammable materials stored in
designated places and workplace is constantly cleared from
unwanted materials.
2. Designate waste bins for dumping soiled waste or
hazardous materials for safe disposal.
3. Pile machine & its operator should be certified.

4. Banks man should be available at the site to control


the movement of heavy vehicle/equipment.
5. Keep away all unauthorized people during movement
of heavy vehicles/equipment.
6. Be mindful/careful about the nearby live areas.
7. Ensure close HSE Monitoring / Supervision
8. Ensure appropriate & inspected accessories being
utilized for drilling.
9. Make sure that drilling bit is appropriately and
correctly fixed with locking pins.
10. Keep away during drilling operations.
11. The working area should be properly barricaded.
12. Ensure proper stacking of materials at the site.
13. Keep access/walkway always clear from any
obstruction.
14. Halt and stop work activities in case of any extreme &
worst/bad weather conditions (Rain, storm, fog Etc.)
15. Restrict movement of heavy vehicles/equipment in
rain/fog
16. Ensure availability of inspected fire extinguishers at
site

12 1. All cranes shall be pre-Mobilized and have valid 1 4 4


Third-party Certificate.
2. All crane operators shall be Certified with BV and have
familiarization training on the crane to be operated.
2. All riggers shall be certified with third party and
trained to Cranes and Rigging.

3. Rigger must perform the slinging of the load.


4. Rigger to measure and confirm the distance for lifting
calculation.
5. Crane shall be daily inspected by Crane Operator
before use.
6. Crawler crane settings must be locked in the specific
crane configuration. Key is controlled by a responsible
person.
7. Crane never to be overloaded.
8. Ground condition must be stable.
9. All rigging gears must be certified by Third Party like
BV or similar and colour coded. Rigger is responsible for
inspection of all rigging gears prior to work.
10. Job specific JSA, lifting permit shall be prepared.
11. Load must have attached taglines prior to lifting
12. When the wind velocity exceeds the manufacturer’s
specification, crane operation must be stopped by crane
operator and the rigger.
13. Ensure no personnel assisting inside the swing radius
of the crane barricaded by the operator.
14. Rigger must blow his whistle while load is slewing or
moving.
15. All employees must always keep eyes on the load.
16. Guide ropes (2) on each load must be ensured. Avoid
hands on steel.
17. Only one qualified rigger shall do the rigging job and
give hand signal to the crane operator.
18. Area shall be properly barricaded, and sign posted to
prevent other people staying under the load.
19. No person under the boom/suspended load.
20. Ensure to secure hands while lifting is on-going. (No
hands under pads or travelling path)
21. Hand Safety Awareness training has to completed for
all the crew.
22. Correct and adequate hand tools to be provided.
23. Provide PPEs like gloves, helmet, Shoes, Vest etc.

12 1. The concrete pump operator shall ensure that outriggers 1 4 4


are extended to the appropriate position.
2. Sole plates are provided for placement below outrigger
feet to support the pumps outriggers/ reduce surface
damage these are designed for use on firm, level standing.
The machines maximum possible loading is displayedon its
outriggers.
3. CPE team MUST inspect the boom placer/concrete
pump properly.
4. Dont stand under the boom.
5. Eye/face protection shall be ensured. Provide eye was
station.
6. Wear full body protection dress to
prevent direct contact with concrete, wash body part if get
contact with concrete with water.
7.All hydraulic rams are fitted with lock valves to
limitmovement should failure occur.
8. Reverse alarm shall be installed on the boom placer.
Trained Flagman/spotter shall be deployed for vehicle
movement at site.
9. Maintain safe distance from vehicle/machinery.
10. All moving components upon the concrete pump are
fully guarded either by virtue of its manufacture, by
mechanical guard, or by automatic interlock systems.

15. Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Helmet,
Coverall with long sleeves, reflective vest, Safety Shoes,
Hand gloves, safety glasses while transporting
16. Control traffic by placement of a trained banks man.
17. Ensure no personnel rest near to or underneath the
equipment in the work site.
18. Ensure No Smoking in the worksite.
19. Provide necessary caution boards.
20. Maintain safe distance from machinery.

6. To provide proper training and precise information on


how to handle loads correctly.
7. Use proper PPE’s (Hand Gloves, Hard hat, Safety Shoe,
goggles etc.) to avoid any cut injury.
