1. Why do people hate to communicate bad news?
Sharing unpleasant news can cause discomfort and damage relationships,
which is why people dislike doing it. They wish to avoid conflict because they fear
negative responses.

2. When is email an inappropriate method of communication?


When it comes to sensitive matters, relying on email may not always be
the best solution.
Using email to communicate sensitive things isn’t always the best option.
Meeting in person is usually more productive when there are strong feelings
involved or when talking about important issues. A deeper comprehension and
thoughtfulness are made possible by the personal encounter.

3. What is the best way to stop a rumor?


By being honest about the truth and being transparent, we can put an end
to the rumors. Assist with truthful facts and promote open communication.

4. Which is most important: nonverbal cues, paralanguage, or the actual words


chosen to communicate? Why?
Nonverbal cues play a critical role in effective communication because
they can transmit context and feelings. Then, paralinguistic cues like tone and
pitch add layers of depth and richness to these physical messages. Words on
their own are not very meaningful until both of these are included.

5. Can people be taught to be effective listeners? Explain your answer.


Yes, It is possible to improve one’s listening skills. If they work hard to
learn it. Being in the moment, paying attention to what is being said, and
exercising empathy are all necessary for good listening. It’s a skill that gets better
with practice.
