VP HR MANAGEMENT
CHINESE GENERAL HOSPITAL & MEDICAL CENTER

I am writing this letter for adjust with regards to my late filing and unpaid overtime for
September 1-30, 2023. I am a new employee hired last week of August, 2023. As we had our last day of
orientation, we were oriented that the account for filing of our OT will be available a month after our
hiring date. And for us to be recognized as new employees, we must place “New Employee” on the
remarks of our filing, and so I did. We’re hired on August 29, 2023 and accounts were made available at
the HR 1st week of October. I was able to file all my overtime on October 7, 2023 which is also reflected
on my CGHMC Application of Overtime. That’s the only time I was able to file all of my September
overtime. As I received my salary on the 1st & 2nd cut of September, it is foreseeable that my overtime will
not be reflected in it since I have no account to access and file my OT. First week of October, the account
was given to us and that’s our only time to file the late OT. On the first cut of October, we were told that
since we filed the OT late, it will be reflected on the next cut which is end of October. And it is
understandable on my part that on the first cut of October, still my OTs were not reflected on my payslip.
However, the salary for the 2ND cut of October came and that’s the only time that all of my overtime pay
was reflected on my payslip excluding only the whole month of September. It is sad on our part that as a
new employee, our overtime for the whole month of September aren’t recognized. I am asking for your
kind consideration on this matter as we were only doing our duties to be compensated well fair. Thank
you so much and may God bless us all.
