ABSTRACT

Title: Impact 0f the School Facilities on the Academic

Performance of Senior High School Learners of

Sinuknipan National high School

This study determined the impact of school facilities on

the academic performance of Senior High School Learner’s of

Sinuknipan National High School. Furthermore, it assessed

the the school facilities affect the academic performance of

students in terms of Learning Skills, Relevance and

Information Gathering, Test of Significant agreement on the

rank orders of the facilities affecting the learners

academic performance, and formulate the policy

recommendation.

This study utilized the descriptive- evaluative-

inferential -correlational methods of research. Various


statistical tools as a frequency count, weighted mean,

percentage, and rank order were to determine the profile of

the respondents. To determine the significance agreement on

the rank orders of the facilities affecting the learners

academic performance, Kendal Coefficient of Concordance W

was employed.

The findings derived from this study were summarized:

1. The school facilities that supports the learning of the

learners.

The computed weighted mean with the average of 4.64 and

as interpreted as Strongly Agree.

2. The school facilities affect the academic performance

of students in terms of:

These concluded Agree were on the learning Skills, has a

weighted mean of 3.86, and interpreted as “Agree”, Relevance

3.81, and Information Gathering,3.69.

3. The test of Significant Agreement on the Rank Orders of

the facilities affecting the learners academic performance.

The Computed Coefficient of Concordance W, and Chi-

Square resulted to: Learning Skills,0.21 and

6.36(p>0.05);Relevance 0.22 and 2.64(p>0.05); and


Information Gathering 0.29 and 3.48(p>0.05). thus , the null

hypotheses was accepted.

4. The policy recommendation were generated based from the

findings of the study.

4.1 Parents, School Heads and Stakeholders must morally

support their students specially with regards to the needed

school facilities as well as to continue their study.

4.2 Teacher should conduct the home visitation for those

learner’s who are facing difficulties to come and attend the

school time because the lack of school facilities.

4.3 Teacher’s should attend the seminars, workshop and

trainings related to the school facilities for the

improvement and alignment of equipment and facilities.

The following conclusion are drawn:

1.The school facilities that supports the learning of the

learners are all Strongly Agree.

2.The school facilities affect the academic performance of

students in terms of Learning Skills, Relevance and

Information Gathering.
3.There is no significant is the agreement on the rank

orders of the facilities affecting the learners academic

performance.

4.There are policy recommendation formulated based from the

findings of the study.

The following recommendation were formulated:

1. The school provide the sufficient school facilities and

equipments needed by the teachers and students for the

comfortable and to the good process of teaching and

learning.

2. The school heads should conduct regular evaluation on

the needed facilities and equipments.

3. The depEd must draft the a management operating system

to conduct an intervention the schools to know the

shortage equpments of the school.

4. The policy recommendations formulated must be

implemented and monitored.
