1. Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 16 s. 2017, this Office announces the conduct
of the 8th Division Research Conference, with the theme “Research to Improve and
Sustain Education: Understanding Perspectives (RISE UP)” on October 27, 2021 via
Zoom platform.

2. This joint activity of the CID and SGOD is an avenue for the dissemination of
the research findings and their application and utilization in the different subject
areas and school governance and operations. The specific aims are as follows:

a) know about the results and recommendations of the study in the different
subject areas and groups;
b) discuss the practicability, efficiency and strategies employed in distance
learning modalities, along with other ways to improve teaching and
outcomes in this new learning delivery, and governance areas; and
c) recommend the research agenda and future directions for the respective
area in aid of improving quality and access to education, and its governance
mechanisms.

3. The participants to this conference are culled from the list of researchers and
researches submitted by the sub-offices. The panelists, documenters and time
keepers are those identified by the area focal persons.

4. Presenters are allotted 7 minutes to present and 5 minutes to answer the


questions of the panelists. Attached herewith are the presentation guidelines,

a) each research presentation will be allotted a total of 12 minutes- 7 minutes


for the presentation and 5 minutes for the question and answer. There will be
a time keeper/documenter for each group. Time will commence at the
announcement of the title of the study presented on slide 1;

b) to maximize the use of time, each presentation is encouraged to have only one
