I’m Arjun Harish Lakra, s/o Harish Lakra, 39 years old, living in Juhu, Mumbai.

2. How long is your work experience at Bharat Airlines? Were to assigned to

international destinations?
- I have been working with Bharat Airline for the past 15 years i joined it in my initial
years. Bharat Airlines started its international destinations from the last 2 years and
being one of the senior pilots I was assigned many international destinations.

3. When did you first meet Ms Mallika ? What exactly happened?

- I met her on the Christmas party last year, as she was awarded ‘most congenial
employee’ award, so I went to congratulate her and being a senior asked about her
experience at Bharat Airlines. When we finished our conversation she asked me to
join her for the club, to which is denied since it was for the first time we were
meeting.

4. After that how was your experience on the Dubai flight ? Who was the co-pilot in
the cockpit ?
- I was rostered on that flight with co-pilot Alferd D’souza, she was coming a lot to
the cockpit more that ordinary practice, I told her that it is distracting while focusing
on plane. I felt she was interested in me so in front of D’souza I told her that I’m a
happily married man with a 7year old daughter. But this didn’t stop her, as soon as all
of our crew members came back from party (it was our custom that all crew hang out
during lay-over, Mallika was also there), she called me from inter-com and soon after
that she was at my room’s door wearing her sleep dress, she asked me to schedule her
on international flights, whenever I rostered. I told her it wasn’t my field of operation
even then she dropped herself on the bed was making advances at him, I again told
her about my married life and pulled her out of my room.

5. What happened when you returned from Dubai ?

-Told my wife about whole incident how Mallika was behaving, she only refrained
me from complaining because she thought she is in her young age and this will spoil
her career, but to my utter surprise there were accusations against me of ‘sexual
harassment at workplace’ in a case filed by Ms Mallik. Therefore whole proceedings
of these allegations took place before ICC (Internal Complaints Committee)
6. Brief the court about the Internal Complaints Committee, how you deposed in front
of the committee ?
- as I was innocent, I denied the accusation vehemently and Mrs. Bedi asked me to
give my say in writing as there would be an inquiry under the Sexual Harrasment of
Women at Workplace Act, 2013. After an in depth inquiry and examination of
witnesses, I was exonerated of the charges of sexual harassment levelled against me
by Mallika.

7. What happened on your Mumbai-Delhi flight ?

- That was my misfortune that I was scheduled on that flight, because I found Mallika
on the same flight and coincidentally Capt. Alfred was my co-pilot again. refused to
talk to Mallika during the flight, even when she addressed routine questions to me in
front of other crew members. During this flight she was again on cockpit duty. When
she came to ask our meal preference, there was sudden turbulence and taking
advantage of the situation she fell into my lap. My instant reaction was to push her off
my lap and I severely reprimanded her for her atrocious behaviour and told her not to
enter the cockpit again and send the meal through another crew member.

8. Where were you on 9th August 2019 ?

- On 09.August.2019, I was on a flight back from Chennai. We landed at 9 pm, Capt.
Alfred gave me a ride home, because he too lives in Juhu. I reached home at around
10 pm.

9. Why did you choose to stay back at home when you had party ?
- I had contracted a viral fever in Chennai itself and from that time only I wasn’t
feeling well, that’s I asked Alfred to accompany me. I was feeling very feverish, so I
asked my wife to to go ahead without me and I would rest at home.

In cross when they ask you about acid bottle.

1. Was there any Acid bottle at your place ? What was that bottle doing at your bathroom?
Yes a bottle of HCl was found in my bathroom which I kept to clean my toilet, usually the
toilet gets corroded as normal toilet cleaner wasn’t able to wash it off therefore I kept it.
