Vakra is moving backwards quickly & Anuvakra is moving backwards slowly.

VAKRA

✤ Long (deep focus, innate strength, concentration, assessment); going over

everything over and over

✤ Oblique, curled, curly (ornate, fine distinctions, subtle nuances)
✤ Crooked, curved, bent (unique, different, eccentric)
✤ Evasive, ambiguous (commitment phobic)
✤ Tortuous, twisted, wry (deviating, meandering)
✤ Having an apparent backward notion
✤ Cunning, fraudulent, dishonest
✤ Hostile, cruel, malignant, inauspicious
✤ To traverse it again, go over the matter more deeply, go over it over and over again
✤ Going back to cover what it has already covered
✤ A retrograde 1st Lord - inbuilt nature of constantly reinforcing everything, re-

assessing and/or re-evaluating.

ANUVAKRA

✤ Gives all of the above sporadically, vexatiously & fitfully (unstable). All of Vakra,

but NOT with the same “punch”. In other words, a lesser of the Vakra meanings.

NOTE: there are 2 Points where the Planets move the FASTEST…
1. When the planet is before and after the COMBUSTION point
2. When the planet is RETROGRADE
