EVENT DESCRIPTION
Kuris is a Mangyan Hanunuo term which means scratch, a line or mark produced
by stroking a knife or any pointed tool or instrument
Kuris is an event name for the promotion of arts and culture in San Jose,
Occidental Mindoro. The holding of painting exhibition provides a venue to share
learnings in visual arts and allow artists to hone their creativity through
workshops and mentoring. This event contributes to the endeavors of the
Municipality of San Jose cultural heritage.
Following this metaphor, the holding of the second annual painting exhibition
shall showcase the artistic and creative skills of visual artists in San Jose,
Occidental Mindoro.
Kuris, for this year’s theme will be “Baluarte”. It hopes to showcase the
masterpiece of nine (9) visual artists’ interpretation of San Jose: Life, Arts and
Scenery.

The event shall run from December 8 and will be concluded by December 15,
