The length of a segment (magnitude) AB is calculated using Pythagoras theorem.

Types of vectors

1.Position vectors
They originate from point (0,0) on the plane.
2.Unit vectors
Are vectors which has magnitude of 1

Addition and subtraction of vectors

They are added like we do with matrices where every term is added to the corresponding term.

Scalar multiplication of vectors

A vector a can be multiplied by a scalar k to get ka.

Parallel vectors
They are in the same direction and the other one is a fraction of the other.
Wc means b=ka

Solving vectors of paper two

When ever a vector changes direction u multiply it by -1

Then when ever there is a ratio u multiply ur vector with the given ratio
To find AB on a triangle ABC given AC AND CB u say AB=AC+CB

NB on part b,c,d we have two expressions for OX

First step Equate the two expressions of OX
SECOND step Equate the coefficient of a to generate equation 1 and then equat the coefficient of
b to generate equation 2
Third step solve the equations simultaneously
