Air Conditioner/Cab Heater Filter (Recirculation) -

Inspect/Replace
SMCS - 1054-040-A/C; 1054-510-A/C

NOTICE

An air recirculation filter element plugged with dust will result in

decreased performance and service life to the air conditioner or cab
heater.

To prevent decreased performance, clean the filter element, as

required.

The air conditioner filter is located under the seat in the cab.

1. Remove the cover for the air conditioner filter.

2. Slide the filter element upward and remove the filter element.

3. Tap the air filter in order to remove the dirt. Do not use compressed air to clean the filter.

4. After you clean the filter element, inspect the filter element. If the filter element is damaged or
badly contaminated, use a new filter element. Make sure that the filter element is dry.

5. Install the filter element and replace the cover.

NOTICE

Failure to reinstall the filter element for the air conditioning system
will contaminate and damage the system components.
