Budget Announcement on PM Vishwakarma

Hon’ble Finance Minister (Budget Speech, 1st February, 2023):


Benefits
“For centuries, traditional artisans and craftspeople, who work

Firewalls for Implementation

1. Aadhaar Verified Registration to ensure no duplication of beneficiaries.

2. Minimum age 18 years on date of registration under PM Vishwakarma.

3. Beneficiaries should not have availed loans under similar credit based self-
employment/ business development schemes e.g. PMEGP, PM SVANidhi, Mudra etc.
of any GoI or State scheme in the past 5 years (self-declaration, due diligence by
banks).

4. Beneficiary should be engaged in the trade on the date of registration

Role of Common Service Centres (CSC)

• Common Service Centres (CSCs) with their extensive presence in all the Gram Panchayats,

technological capabilities and skilled Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) will register beneficiaries

of the 18 trades on the PM Vishwakarma portal.

• Dissemination of the Scheme through VLEs

• Awareness for enrolment, documents required etc
