PLAN TEMPLATE

ES
A learning action plan can help training participants turn their learning into tangible improvements in their
on-the-job performance following the training course. Mention the plan during the training session; then at
the end, ask them to answer the questions below. The questions aim to inspire them to reflect on what they
have learned, identify the most personally salient points, and then describe the steps they will take to turn
this learning into action in their specified performance context.
The learning action plan is flexible enough that you can present it on-screen during an instructor-led event
or at the end of a self-directed learning session, include it in a survey, or distribute it via an email form.
Remember to encourage learners to share the plan with their managers. Even better, if you distribute it
electronically, such as via an email form, send the completed plan to both the learner and their manager.
