ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR MS/MPHIL

i. Candidates having relevant BS/M.A/M.Sc degree or equivalent (minimum 16 years of education) with at least
CGPA of 2.5/4.0 (in Semester System) or 2nd Division (in Annual System) from a HEC recognized University,
shall be eligible for admission.
ii. The candidates should pass university admission test by obtaining at least 50% marks OR already have a valid
GRE/HAT General/NTS/ETC/ETS test score of at least 50% marks.

ELIGIBILITY FOR PhD

i. Candidates having relevant MS/MPhil (minimum 18 years of education) degree with at least a CGPA of 3.0/4.0
(in Semester System) or 1st Division (in Annual System) from a HEC recognized University, shall be eligible for
admission.
ii. The candidates should pass university admission test by obtaining at least 60% marks OR already have a valid
GRE/HAT General/NTS/ETC/ETS test score of at least 60% marks.
iii. Submission of the Statement of Purpose by the scholar along with the application form.

MOST IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

• Only online admission forms are acceptable. Admission forms or documents submitted in person or by post
will not be entertained.
• A candidate having valid score card of HAT/NTS/ETC/ETS, is not required to appear in the departmental
test to be conducted by the concerned department/institute/centre/college for spring, session 2023-24
admissions.
• The concerned department/institute/centre/college has to inform the eligible candidates for departmental
test date and venue.
• Only those candidates will be considered for admission whose results are duly declared/notified by the
Controller of Examinations on or before Friday, 2nd February, 2024.
• Candidates employed in any Government or Semi-Government Department/Organization must submit No
Objection Certificate from the concerned Department/Organization before his/her Provisional Admission.
• Provision of hostel accommodation will be subject to availability of seat and shall not be claimed as a
matter of right.
• If found ineligible in scrutiny, the candidate shall not be allowed to appear in the Interview even he/she has
qualified the HAT/NTS/ETC/ETS or Departmental Test. Further, if the candidate appeared in the interview
and later found to be ineligible for any reason, his/her admission will be cancelled at any stage.
• In case of ambiguity about eligibility, the opinion of the Graduate Studies Committee of the concerned
department will be considered final.
• The University of Peshawar as well as Higher Education Commission rules and regulations shall be applied
on the admitted scholars.
• The University reserves the right to make changes in any programme/admission procedure/regulations
when and where deemed necessary.
• Admission Fee once deposited shall not be refunded.

APPLICATION

1. Interested candidates shall submit Online Admission Applications at the University website www.uop.edu.pk or
by visiting https://gadmissions.uop.edu.pk.
2. No hard copies are required for submission to the admission office.
3. All the candidates are instructed to apply for admission well in time without waiting for the last date in order
to reduce the burden on the online admission portal/website.
4. Corrections, if any, in the online admission form will be made through email requests to
helpdesk.oas@uop.edu.pk with proper evidence regarding requisite correction before the last date i.e. 2nd
February 2024. No corrections will be made after the last date.
5. Admission dues should be paid on the date of interview.
6. The admitted dues original bank voucher shall be presented to the concerned
department/institute/centre/academy/college to confirm admission seat.
7. The concerned department/institute/centre/academy/college will scan and upload the fee voucher on the
admission portal for admission seat validation.

DOCUMENT CHECKLIST AT THE TIME OF INTERVIEW

The selected candidates in the merit list (called for interview) must produce the following documents/requirements
at the time of their interview:
a. Original relevant Degree & DMC/Transcript along with a Photocopy
b. CNIC Copy
c. Valid GRE/HAT General/NTS/ETC/ETS scorecard with a photocopy
d. Service Certificate (for University Employees only)

4. Login to portal using your email and password
5. Once you logged-in:
a. Complete your personal information
b. Provide your academic qualification details
c. Upload your recent profile picture (passport size with blue background)
d. Apply for admission to your desired program, respectively
e. Deposit Admission Processing Fee of Rs.2,100/- through KuickPay as per instructions given in the
portal.
