DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
Region III
Schools Division of Pampanga
Every child has rights, no matter who they are or where they live. Our government
has promised to protect, respect and fulfill these rights, yet they are still violated nationwide.
Justino Sevilla High School’s Child Protection Program focus on holding the
government accountable on children's rights standards by monitoring its performance and
commitments and ensures the protection of every learner under its care.
In this view, the school formulated and implemented a localized school-based child
protection policy adapted from D.O. #40, S. 2012, Policy and Guidelines on Protecting
Children in School from Abuse, Violence, Exploitation, Discrimination, Bullying and other
forms of Abuse.
The school conducted orientation and trainings to raise awareness on School Child
Protection Policy, Rights of every Child and other issues concerning the Child Protection
Policy Program.
Working together with the school child-led organizations at Justino Sevilla High
School’s Child Protection Policy Committee do policy research and analysis to ensure child
rights are upheld in government policies, procedures and laws - and that children's voices are
heard and taken into consideration through this the school was able to formulate a
contextualized school rules and regulations
1. Involving the internal and external stakeholders in the Child Protection Program is one of
the best practices in implementing the program. Everyone is accountable to everyone’s
protection from violence, abuse and other forms of bullying.

and trainings thru online platforms.
3. The school have quarterly monitoring and evaluation to ensure that the program have
been successfully implemented.

V. CONCLUSION
Because of the successful implementation of School Child Protection Policy and
Procedure in this school year 2020-2021, there was no incidents reported of any related forms
of bullying even on the what we call cyber bullying during online monitoring by the guidance
office and school prefect of discipline.
V. RECOMMENDATIONS
1. The school should conduct more researches, study and analysis in order to have
modification on School Child Protection Policy especially for the new normal setting.
2. Record keeping is essential in monitoring and evaluation.
3. Internal and external should take part in all activities involving the program.
4. The school should conduct a yearly School-Based INSET about positive discipline in
school and at home.
