    Every shape in a Pega workflow can be assigned a work object (WO) status to track the process step. By default, no shapes are assigned a status, so the workflow considers the status as "New". There are several out-of-the-box WO statuses available that are defined as "Field value" rules under the data model. The WO status gets assigned to the pyStatusWork property, and each status has a unique ID like "pyStatusWork.label". Assigning a status to the start shape will set the pyStatusWork value accordingly when the workflow is run.

    Work object status


    Every Flow shape acts as one step of transaction.

    For Each step, we can assign status, which will be helpful for tracking process.

    Open flow rule double click on

     Start shape

     Any assignment shape

    Select any OOTB Status and open it

    We can observe that WO status is one of rule type called “Field value” under data model
    category.

    Similary open another OOTB WO status.

    For both the WO’s we can observe that ID is “pyStatusWork.xxxxxx”

    WO status will be assigned to one OOTB property called pyStatusWork and the ID of each
    WO field value should be “pyStatusWork.label”

    By Default, No shape in flow will be assigned with any WO status.

    Hence PRPC will consider status as “New” for each flow.

    Give any WO status in start shape

    Submit and run the flow

    pyStatusWork will show “Pending-PolicyOverride”

    If every shape is not defined with work status, then pyStatusWork will not change.

    DB column name also will be pyStatusWork in work table
