INTERVENTION PROGRAM IN READING


A. Project Title
B. Objectives A. Guide the slow and non-readers to develop their reading skills.
B. Develop the reading skills of the pupils who belong to non-readers
C. Enhance the reading skills of the students.
D. To evalauate the improvement of the students reading proficiency
E. Recommend different reading activities and continue love for reading.

C. Rational Reading is a number of interactive process between the reader and the
text in which the readers use their knowledge to build, create and to contruct
meaning.
Grade Five Class has 9 out of 30 learners was identified with poor reading
ability. Because of this result through the conduct of PHIL-IRI pre-test, the
teacher provide made an intervention to address the needs of the learners.

D. Procedure A. Prepare multi-level reading materials for struggling readers from grade
5
B. To track pupils reading performance through home visitation and
tutorial
C. Provide printed shorts stories and other literacy types of additional
instructional materials at home
D. Practice reading everyday with the guidance of the
parents,sister,brothers or learning facilitator

H. Outcomes A. 96 % of the pupils reading skills have been enhanced through varied
activities and practicing reading everyday with the guidance of the the
adviser ,parents, sisters, and brothers.
B. 95 % of the pupils should have improved in their readning skills.
